Golden Keys sit in Gearbox’s SHiFT rewards system, sitting alongside cosmetics and in game bonuses you’ll have seen in earlier Borderlands titles. This code is for Borderlands 4 and is aimed at players who want a small boost to their loot cycle without grinding, competing with the usual in game currency sinks and random drops.

Who is this for?

If you are playing Borderlands 4 now, a Golden Key is typically used to open a special chest that drops higher quality gear than standard containers. It is most useful when your current weapons have fallen behind your level, or when you want to refresh your loadout before a tougher mission. If you are not on Borderlands 4 yet, it is still worth redeeming to your SHiFT account so it is banked for later, assuming the code has not expired or hit its redemption limit.
