Two buildable cars in one box, this LEGO Speed Champions set pairs the Jaguar Project 7 with the Land Rover Defender, sitting in the same range as other licensed mini car kits that compete with Hot Wheels-style collectables, but with a more involved build and display focus. It suits ages 10+ and works well as a shared project, one person can build each vehicle, then you can line them up with other Speed Champions models.
Who is this set for?
Pick this up if you like contrasting builds, a low-slung performance roadster alongside a boxier off-road icon. Speed Champions models are quick enough to finish in an evening, but detailed enough to reward careful building, with shaping, stickers, and finishing touches that make them look sharp on a shelf. It is also a solid choice for kids moving on from simpler LEGO themes, because the instructions expect a bit more patience and precision.
