Starfield Standard Edition is Bethesda Game Studios’ big, single player sci fi RPG, sitting alongside Fallout and The Elder Scrolls as the studio’s flagship sandbox style adventures. On Xbox Series X|S and PC, it goes up against other open world space RPGs by leaning into Bethesda’s familiar loop of questing, looting, dialogue choices and faction storylines, just with a NASA punk space setting and a lot more planets to hop between.
Who is this for?
If you like slow burn exploration, character builds and getting sidetracked by side quests, it fits well. Expect plenty of time in menus too, from ship loadouts to inventory management, so it suits players happy to tinker as much as they fight. The Standard Edition is the base game, so you are not paying for extra content up front.
