Prestone Ultra Performance Summer Screen Wash sits towards the premium end of Prestone’s car care range, competing with other concentrated summer screen washes from brands like Halfords and Holts. It’s aimed at warm weather driving where bugs, road film and oily grime build up quickly, and you want something stronger than plain washer fluid without moving to a winter antifreeze blend. A 5L bottle also suits households running more than one car, or anyone who prefers fewer top ups.
Who is this for?
Drivers doing lots of motorway miles, commuting through dusty roads, or parking under trees will notice the difference most. A decent summer mix helps keep the windscreen clearer, which matters for glare and low sun, and it can reduce wiper judder caused by sticky residue. Check the label for dilution guidance, as concentrates can be mixed to suit light dirt or heavy bug splatter.
- 5L size, better for regular use than small top up bottles
- Summer focused cleaning, geared towards insects and traffic film
