Dimension hopping platform action from Insomniac’s long running Ratchet & Clank series, Rift Apart lands on PC via Steam and sits alongside other big, cinematic third person adventures. It’s a colourful, gadget heavy shooter at heart, but with tight movement and set pieces that keep it feeling closer to a modern action platformer than a pure run and gun. If you’ve played the older games, this is a slicker, more story driven take. If you haven’t, it still works as a standalone sci fi romp with plenty of spectacle.

Who is this for?

Anyone after a polished single player campaign with fast combat, playful weapons, and a constant sense of momentum. The rift mechanic is the hook, pulling you between worlds mid fight and during traversal, which helps the pacing feel brisk rather than padded.

  • Steam PC version: suits players who want controller support and PC graphics options.
  • Single player focus: built around story missions, set pieces, and upgrade driven progression.
