LEGO 40899 Astro Bot is a Gift With Purchase set from LEGO, pitched as a small, displayable bonus rather than a main build. It sits alongside other seasonal GWPs and collectible minis, competing with the usual polybag style freebies by offering something a bit more character driven. You only get it while stocks last when your basket total meets the qualifying spend, so it is best seen as an extra for anyone already planning a larger LEGO order.
Who is this GWP actually for?
If you like keeping GWPs sealed, trading them later, or adding a quick desk display to your collection, this one makes sense. It is also a neat crossover for PlayStation fans, but the key point is that it applies to qualifying spends across LEGO purchases, not only PlayStation themed sets. If you were close to the threshold anyway, it can tip the balance, if you are stretching your spend just to get it, it is less convincing.
