LEGO Worlds on Nintendo Switch is Traveller’s Tales’ open ended LEGO sandbox, sitting closer to Minecraft style building and exploration than the usual story driven LEGO games. Instead of following a film licence, you hop between themed worlds built from digital bricks, unlocking new items and creatures as you go, then using them to shape your own creations.

Who is this for?

It suits players who enjoy tinkering and experimenting, especially families sharing a console. Exploration is relaxed, with plenty of small goals to keep you moving, while creative mode leans into free building once you have a decent catalogue of bricks and tools. On Switch it works well for short sessions in handheld, though it is still a game that rewards patience if you want to build something substantial.

  • Procedural worlds to explore, with discoveries feeding your build menu
  • Creative building tools for placing, copying and reshaping LEGO pieces
  • Local co op for making and exploring together on one Switch
