Two small LEGO sets aimed at collectors and younger builders, one from the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog range and one from LEGO’s seasonal style gift sets. The Sonic 77117 Speedster Lightning set sits alongside other Sonic kits that lean into vehicles and action play, competing with similar character car builds from themes like LEGO Super Mario and Marvel. LEGO 40813 Lucky Cat is more of a desk display piece, closer in spirit to BrickHeadz and small decorative builds than a play set.

Which one makes more sense for you?

Pick Sonic if you want something to build and then swoosh around, it suits quick builds that still feel tied to a bigger universe. Go for Lucky Cat if you want a compact model that looks good on a shelf, it’s the sort of set you can finish in one sitting and keep out year round.
