Xbox Free Play Days is Microsoft’s rotating taster line up for Game Pass Ultimate, Premium and Essential members, a bit like Steam free weekends but built into the Xbox ecosystem. This week’s selection leans heavily into big budget, score chasing games, with EA Sports Madden NFL 27 for competitive matches, Borderlands 4 for co-op loot shooting, and F1 25 2026 Season Edition for lap time obsessives. Dustborn sits slightly apart as a story driven title offered as a limited time trial rather than a full weekend.
What can you actually play this weekend?
From Thursday 10 September to Sunday 13 September, you get time limited access to the featured games, which is useful for testing performance, online population, and whether the gameplay loop clicks before committing.
- Full Free Play Days access: Borderlands 4, F1 25 2026 Season Edition, EA Sports Madden NFL 27
- Trial format: Dustborn (two hour trial)
