Fast, brutal and unapologetically old school, DOOM (2016) sits in id Software’s modern reboot line-up, competing with the likes of Wolfenstein for pure, momentum-driven FPS action. Who is this for?
If you want a campaign that rewards constant movement, aggressive weapon swapping and close-range glory kills, this is still one of the cleanest examples of the modern arena-shooter feel. The multiplayer add-ons matter most if you plan to play online, but they also round out the package for completionists.
