Part of DeWalt’s 18V XR cordless range, the DCS391N-XJ is a 165mm circular saw aimed at DIYers and trades who want a lighter, more mobile alternative to a corded saw for sheet goods and general timber work. It goes up against other 18V “body only” saws from Makita, Milwaukee and Bosch, with the main draw being compatibility with existing XR batteries if you already own DeWalt tools.
Who is this for?
If you’re regularly cutting MDF, plywood or softwood and need quick, repeatable cuts without trailing cables, this fits well. The included 24-tooth TCT blade is geared towards cleaner cuts in wood and boards, while the bevel capability up to 50° helps with mitres, edging and angled work. Note it’s a bare unit, so you’ll need an 18V XR battery and charger to use it.
