Are “air purifying” plants actually worth buying?

Think of the air-purifying angle as a bonus rather than the main reason. In normal living spaces, a few small pots won’t meaningfully scrub pollutants, but they do add humidity, soften hard interiors and give you something low-commitment to look after.
